Importance of the Soul

Understanding how the soul — mind, emotions, and will — serves as the repository of life experiences and why surrendering it to God matters.

By Claudine LaRovere

The soul comprises the mind, emotions, and will — essentially your psychological consciousness. It functions as a "repository" storing life experiences, from childhood memories to "deepest fears and insecurities."

Negative emotions like "inferiority, insecurity, inadequacy, guilt, worry, doubts, fears, and frustration" accumulate there.

**Central Argument:** Individuals must decide whether to let emotions dominate or "surrender your whole self to God." Unaddressed soul issues create lasting consequences.

**Recommendations:** Armor of God prayer and Psalm 91 to "take your thoughts captive and start walking...a spiritual life."

Find "God's truth" for achieving "a more peaceful mind, heart, and soul."
